Considering moving up from Quickbooks or Peachtree?

So you have outgrown QuickBooks or Peachtree!

You have been handling your basic bookkeeping procedures in either QuickBooks or Peachtree. Your other needs have been addressed by adding third party, stand-alone applications – applications such as Service/Dispatching software, Estimating and Job Costing software, and a host of others.

As your business has grown, so has your need for timely and accurate information. You have discovered that piecing together software from different suppliers is tedious and inefficient. You have to enter the same information multiple times. Because the third party applications have been developed by other companies, nothing works the same. Errors are becoming more prevalent.   You are considering adding more personnel.  You are becoming concerned about your profitability!

What’s next?
Moving to Ventus Software by VMS provides you with integrated construction-based software, training, on-going support and enhancements from a single source. When data is entered in one application, all related applications are immediately updated through real-time posting.

OK, give me some examples!
Let’s look at two Ventus scenarios:
1.      Ventus Estimating is used to perform takeoff, pricing, and a quotation letter.
- Customer accepts quote. If it is construction (job cost) related:
      * Estimates are transferred to Job Cost establishing your beginning
         budgets.
      * Purchase Orders are created for non-stocked material and become
         committed costs.
      * A bill of materials is created for stocked items in inventory for
your warehouse staff to “pick material as the job progresses.
-  If the accepted quote is related to service work:
                        * The quote detail is transferred to a service work order and placed
                          on the dispatch board.
2.   A customer service request is entered in Ventus Service Management/Dispatch:
* The technician receives the call information on his mobile device
   through Ventus Mobile Data Software.
       * The technician completes the work ticket in the field by
         “time stamping” labor, selecting parts
used, work done codes, flat rate codes, and ticket comments.
Optionally he has the customer sign on the mobile device and prints
   an invoice.
            * The completed work ticket is sent back via the internet to the main
               office where:
                        - Truck restocking reports are generated.
                  - Ventus Payroll is updated with labor hours.
                  - Ventus Accounts Receivable is updated.
                  - Service history, by unit, is updated in Ventus Service Management
                  - Ventus General Ledger is updated
                  - If the call pertained to a construction job in Ventus Job Cost,
costs pass from Ventus Service Management.
In both of these scenarios, no re-entry of data was required!

With over 18 construction-specific applications available, Ventus Software provides the tools you need to manage your business efficiently and profitably.
