International Air Conditioning Heating Refrigeration Exposition (AHR)

Vertical Market Software is pleased to announce attendance of the International Air Conditioning Heating Refrigeration Exposition 2011.  This year's show will take place January 31st through February 2nd, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

VMS Support Services

With a new year underway and several new customers joining the VMS family, I thought it would be a good time to review the support services and remind everyone of the resources available to them.

  • VMS Customer Support:  Our customer support team is available from 7:00 to 5:30 CST Monday to Friday.  You have several options for contacting customer support including:

  • VMS Customer Portal:  The customer portal is an on-line tool for you to submit support issues and questions and to track their status. 

    To use the customer portal, first go to the Ventus website at www.ventussoftware.com and click on “Secure Customer Portal”

    This will take you to a login screen.  If this is your first time using the portal, you will have to set up an account.  Simply put your email address in the “Don’t have an account?” section and click submit. 

    The portal will then attempt to locate your company information based on your email address.  If it is unable to do so, it will automatically send you an email asking for you to verify your company information and email to us.  We will then set up your profile and send back an email with a user name and password. 

    If you have any questions or problems logging in to the portal please email Angela.

    In addition to submitting and tracking support issues, this year we plan to launch the Ideas page on our Customer Portal where you can submit product enhancement suggestions and vote on suggestions made by other customers.  Stay tuned for more information about this new feature. 

    Whether placing your support call through our portal or directly to the support team, please remember to provide us with as much information as possible..  For example, if your question pertains to a report or form, you can attach a copy of the report or form  to your case directly on the portal, or you can fax a copy of it to us.  Giving us as much information as possible up front, will help us fully understand your support issue and will make it easier for us to provide you with a quick resolution. 

  • VMS User Forum:  The VMS User's Forum is a great place for VMS customers and staff to interact with one another.  You can ask questions of other users and post comments about our products and services.  We really appreciate all of the open and honest feedback we receive there.  Over the past year, our staff has been posting regular comments and questions to generate more customer interaction and although we've had some success, I would like to see more interaction throughout 2011.  Please visit www.vmsforum.com to register.  If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the site, please email your suggestions to angelab@vertical-market.com

Year End Closing

Do you still have 2009 in your GL company file ?  If so, you will need to do year end closing.  (This will only close the 2009 data and not your 2010.)

Last year we had several customers who waited too long to do their year end closing only to discover they could not process any data. To avoid this from happening again this year, please contact support and we can set up a time to help you copy your files and/or make a GL company in which to save the data.
