Employee Spotlight - Peter Schwier

This month we are pleased to spotlight a new member of the VMS team, Peter Schwier.  Peter is a familiar face to many of us at VMS, while still a college student he was the 2009 VMS Summer Intern. We are pleased to have him back in a full time position as Technical Support Analyst.  Peter is a Computer Science major at Florida Institute of Technology and he is presently finishing his last classes online.  From an early age Peter has been dealing with and maintaining computers. He has used everything from Windows 3.1 for workgroups to Windows 7 and a few distributions of Linux.  While still in high school Peter developed a web application to help the school register students for classes.  The old way of registering involved one sheet of paper for each student and the counselors typing the class choices into a computer.  It took several counselors several weeks to type everything in.  So Peter developed a web application which allows students to choose class combinations that are valid when taken together.  His program is still in use today!
Personal Profile:
Originally from Massachusetts, Peter was raised in Pensacola, Florida, and Belgium.  He loves reading and prefers Science Fiction and Fantasy.   His favorite authors are:  Mercedes Lackey, Tamore Pierce, John Ringo, and David Webster.  Now that he is almost finished with school, Peter is looking forward to spending some time kayaking.

Accounts Receivable apply to numbers

When you run the historical aged trial balance in accounts receivable sometimes apply
to numbers no longer match. Programming has created a hidden program to correct
this.

You will need to go to Administration and choose system administration. Next choose Misc

Now go to Options and choose Unlisted Functions

In the function name type in lower case letters: ar_msc_changehistoryapplyto
Click on Accounts Receivable and then OK

On the next screen you will enter your customer number and the invoice number:

Now you can edit the apply to number from history.
